M_o_R® is a risk management methodology that can be applied at all levels of an organization: the strategic level, programme level, as well as at the project or operational level. Conducting a project-based business or programme-based business will always involve additional risk. It is worthwhile to take the time to define a risk management policy, the related strategies, and plans for programmes and projects. Further, one should systematically identify, analyse and manage the risk to prevent a situation in which the fate of projects and programmes is not controlled. Other areas of an organization, both at an operational level and the strategic level, are also exposed to a risk. M_o_R contains a number of defined steps that illustrate how to support better decision-making through a proper understanding of risks and their impact.

Training courses are organized on 2 levels of qualification, and they prepare particpants for the M_o_R Foundation and M_o_R Practitioner examinations.
The training course focuses on equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge about risk management based on M_o_R best management practices of the Cabinet Office. The training programme covers the principles and approach to risk management, management processes, M_o_R implementation, and techniques and tools used. The training is accredited by the APM Group Ltd., which means that it prepares participants for the examination at the M_o_R Foundation qualification level. The goal of the training course is to learn and understand the M_o_R methodology and to pass the M_o_R Foundation examination.
The training provides participants with the answers to the most pressing questions, including: what are the prospects for risk management in an organization; how do risks of different levels impact one another; what are the successive steps in the risk management process; how to identify threats and opportunities; how to evaluate them; how to make decisions about risk response; what are the key factors for success in this area; and what techniques should be used in risk management.

M_o_R Foundation examination consists of 75 multiple choice test questions (of which 70 question are marked), and it lasts 60 minutes. To pass the exam a candidate is required to obtain at least 35 correct answers. This is a closed book exam. The exam can be taken in English or in Polish. The certificate issued by AXELOS does not expire.
